WE NEED HELP, HELP, HELP!!!!!!!!Tomorrow is another day closer to our 45th SHS Class Reunion. It will, again, be held at the "infamous" Mackey House located at 190 Red Gate Farms Trail, Savannah GA 31405 on Saturday, June 16th from 7:00 p.m. UNTIL. In a "perfect world", we would ALL love to see our ENTIRE graduating class together again at this reunion, but unfortunately, we do NOT live in a "perfect world" so as a result, a large number of our classmates live out of town or out of state. Because of this, it has been extremely difficult to locate those people. We are striving very hard to find and notify as many of us as possible and we are also striving very hard to hire a great band that "ROCKS" our '60's era. Again Blue Jackets, what's a great party without a great band, right? Come on JACKETS, "LET'S PARTY" and have a blast together again like all our reunions before. Whether or not you plan to attend, PLEASE continue to try and locate as many of our classmates as you possibly can and have those locate others and so forth. Also, tell everyone you talk to or email to go to our SHS Facebook site and click on "join the group" at: Savannah High School Class of '67 Alumni. I also want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to all the "Blue Jackets" who stepped up to the plate with their gracious band donations. For those of you who said you would like to donate money towards our "band fund", PLEASE, PLEASE do so ASAP as time is drawing nigh. As I mentioned in an earlier post, any donation will be gladly accepted, however; the faster those $$$ start rolling in, the better choice of bands we will have. We are trying so hard to get the rest of the band money as quickly as possible, so let's get motivated BLUE JACKETS and make this happen. If we can "kick ass" on a football field, we can "kick ass" to get a great band. There is NOTHING we can't accomplish if we put our minds to it, so let's get with it people. We have decided on the "dress attire" to be anything from shorts and flip flops to a tux, so wear whatever makes YOU feel comfortable. All we are concerned about right now, with the limited amount of time we have left before the reunion, is getting as many of us together this June 16th as possible. The cost is $45 per person to include an open bar and food, also to include, drink set-ups, decorations, set up/clean up, tables, chairs, plates, cups, ice, utensils, misc., and a "slush fund" to maintain our website, etc. PLEASE BE MINDFUL THAT THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE COST OF THE BAND SO PLEASE, PLEASE, EVERYONE SEND IN THEIR BAND DONATIONS ASAP BECAUSE TIME IS FASTLY RUNNING OUT.
